Your Fraîche wallet can go into a negative balance — and here’s why that might happen:

You made a purchase that wasn’t fully covered by credits or rewards.

Your saved card didn’t go through at the time of payment.

You might have closed the fridge without completing a proper scan, and the item was still charged.

Your wallet can go as low as -$5 before access to the fridge is blocked.
🔁 If Auto-Clear is enabled, we’ll automatically charge the card on file once your balance hits -$5 or below, so you don’t get interrupted.
📅 After 30 days, if your negative balance hasn’t been cleared:

We may automatically charge the card on file to cover the debt.

If no card is saved, we’ll send you an email to manually settle the balance and clean up your account statement.
📌 To avoid surprises, make sure you have a valid payment method on file and turn on Auto-Clear in your wallet settings.
